Tae Kwon Do classes are running in Tinahely Community Hall, run by Healy’s Martial Arts (HMA). HMA also has a school in Laragh, Co. Wicklow, which has produced many Tae Kwon Do champions and seen students travel internationally to learn from different masters of the art since it opened in 2002. HMA opened a branch school in Tinahely which has already produced one Leinster and two national champions. But Tae Kwon Do is not all about winning titles or competing at all, it is an excellent way to keep fit, supple and healthy. It also instils discipline, respect and a hard work etiquette in whoever takes it up, both young and old. It is a most rewarding way of life.
Classes are taught by Paul Healy, 3rd degree black belt, and class times are as follows:
Junior classes (age 7-17): Monday and Thursday, 7pm – 8pm
Senior classes (age 17+): Monday 8pm-9pm and Thursday, 7pm-8pm
