Tinahely Farm Shop

The Tinahely Farm Shop is run by Philip and Rebecca Hadden and their three young children Hannah, Harry and Archie on their farm in the village of Tinahely.

The aim of the farm shop is to open the minds of people and to explore new tastes and flavours.

Philip and Rebecca grow some of the vegetables themselves and try to source local produce in Tinahely and surrounding areas.

Rebecca makes all the jams and chutneys herself apart from Philip’s Raspberry Jam which is now known in the area for being the best. Rebecca is also an accomplished cook and is always there to lend a hand or even share tips from her experience of cooking.

The Tinahely Farm Shop is a traditional farm shop in a converted farm building down on the farm, where you can still hear the bleat of a sheep, the moo from the Kerry cows and hear the hens and ducks clucking and quacking around the place when you are shopping is these beautiful surrounds.

Part of the development of the Farm Centre was the advice that Francis & John Brennan, from RTE’s “At Your Service“, gave when they visited. They encouraged the Haddens to develop the Activity Barn – and create Wicklow’s only Indoor Beach – a great place to play for children of all ages! In September 2014, The Farm Shop was given a “highly commended” award by the Irish Times Magazine in their “Best Shops in Ireland – Best Day Out” category.

They have a lovely cafe serving the best of local food and surrounded by the eclectic and nostalgic items of bygone years.

The Farm Shop is now a popular venue for a great day out in Ireland for all the family and, thanks to the feedback and support received from friends, customers and fellow entrepreneurs, Philip and Rebecca are constantly striving to improve the range of products and develop new ideas for the Farm Shop & Activity Barn.

The Haddens love what they do, so why not pop in for a visit and share in their vision for Tinahely Farm Shop & Activity Centre and enjoy the extensive array of local crafts and produce
